Pauline G. Olthof

Age 99 passed away at the Steuben County Healthcare Facility in Bath, NY Saturday, July 7th, 2012. Pauline was born in Mainesburg, Pa, June 24th, 1913; the daughter of the late Frederick and Ethel Mae (Smith) Cleveland. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Joyce (Brent) Hill of Hammondsport, NY; 6 grandchildren, Joseph O’Brien, Kathleen O’Brien Lepkowski, Jay O’Brien, Colleen O’Brien Peterson, Kathryn Hill Peach, and Marcus Hill; 14 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. She is predeceased by husbands; Clinton Olthof, and Joseph O’Brien, son, Humphrey “Joe” O’Brien; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Judy O’Brien; grandson, Patrick O’Brien and sister, Frances Palmer. She was a member of the Hammondsport United Methodist Church and was a longtime employee of H. Strauss Co. in Elmira. Pauline loved to help people. She loved to take care of children, and grow her beautiful roses. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, July 12th, 2012 from 1:00PM to 1:30PM. Funeral services celebrating Pauline’s life will be held at the conclusion of the gathering at 1:30PM. Lay Pastor Jerry Holcombe will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Those wishing please make memorials in Pauline's name to the charity of one’s choice.
