HICKS, Colleen A.Town of Southport ResidentWas born August 1, 1943 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late James R. and Virginia (Cecil) Hicks passed away peacefully, after a brief illness on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital at the age of 64. Colleen is survived by her loving brothers and sister-in-law, James R. and Linda Hicks of Lowman, NY; Patrick M. and Elleen Hicks of Hicks of Elmira, NY; niece, Christine (Kenneth) Pulleyn of Horseheads, NY; nephew, Jonathan (Korey) Hicks of McKinney, TX; great nieces, April, Kelsey and Caitlyn Pulleyn; great niece, Olivia Hicks; great nephew, Jackson Hicks; uncle, Jack (Margaret) Cecil of Greensboro, NC; aunt, Betty (Corbett) Ray of Oakland, CA; along with many special friends and dear friends, Peggy and Tom Perciballi of Horseheads, NY. Colleen had a tremendous love for her family especially spending time with her niece, nephew, great nieces and great nephew. She was a devoted daughter and loving caregiver for her mother, Virginia, and unselfishly gave of herself to care for and tend to all the needs of her beloved mother. Her love, care, compassion and acts of kindness never went unnoticed by her brothers and family members. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Tuesday, June 24, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. A Memorial Service followed by interment in St. Peter & Pauls Cemetery will be held at a later date and time to be announced. The family will provide their own flowers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the North Chemung UMC Food Pantry c/o Barbara Burlew 677 Breesport/North Chemung Road Lowman, NY 14861.
