Was born January 5, 1914 in Elmira, the son of the late Arthur A. and Fanny (McDowell) Kendall, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, March 6, 2017 peacefully at his home at the age of 103. His first wife, Sue Emily Kendall, second wife, Flora Hall Kendall, and son, Arthur R. Kendall preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving companion of 21 years: Amy Blake; daughters and sons-in-law: Carolyn and Gary Erickson and Susan and Dave Eichenauer; daughter-in-law: Sondra Kendall; grandchildren: Kelly (Don) Lawrence; Lee Saginaro; Arthur (Margaret) Kendall Jr.; Kary (Karen) Erickson; and Mark (Sherri) Erickson; along with 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Addison retired from NYSEG after many years of dedicated service as a senior power engineer. He was a faithful 60+ year member of the North Presbyterian Church, an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed his favorite activity, square dancing. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral services honoring this centurion will follow the visitation at 4 PM. The Reverend David Presisendanz will officiate.
