Adelaide L. Clarke

Formerly of the Bel-Air Mobil Home Park, Wellsburg, NY, age 98, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2005 at the Elcor Health Services, Horseheads, NY, where she resided most recently. She was born September 5, 1907 in Addison, NY, the daughter of the late Earl and Addie (Grenell) Leavenworth. Her loving husband, Charles J. Clarke, predeceased Adelaide on January 8, 1983. Her brothers, E. Gillette, Harold, and Ivan Leavenworth, also preceded her in death. Adelaide is survived by her beloved cousin, Margaret (James) Callas of Elmira, NY; their children, Peter Callas of Florida; Penny (David) Allington of Elmira, NY with their children, Andrea (Mark) Badurak of Brewer, ME; Jerid (Melissa) Allington of Brewster, NY; Cathy Callas of Elmira, NY; Georgia (Thomas) Rennie of Pine City, NY; with their children, Carolyn Rennie and Colleen Rennie, both of Pine City, NY; sister-in-law, Fanny Clarke of Williamsport, PA; along with several other cousins and many close friends.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, November 9, 2005 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will be celebrated following the visitation at 7:00 PM by Father William Lutz.Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in Woodlawn Cemetery.Memorial donations may be directed to Southern Tier Hospice, 11751 East Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.
