Albert David Russ

Age 90 of Elmira, NY passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. He was the loving father of daughter, Suzanne (Larry) Westbrook of Erin, NY, with children, Stephen Westbrook, Timothy Westbrook, and Laurie (Monty) Spencer; and daughter, Barbara (Stu) Brown of Horseheads, NY; and children, Judi (Jim) Horton, Joy (Craig) Kimble, Roy (Susan) Proper and several beloved great grandchildren. Albert was predeceased by his wife, Shirley J. (Hunt) Russ in August 2008. He was a United States Army Air Corp veteran of WWII, serving as engine mechanic with the Flying Tigers. He retired from Hardinge Brothers Corporation after many years of service, also a member of Christian Faith Fellowship Church. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira/Southport on Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with funeral and committal service there at 7 PM. The Reverend James Crupi will officiate. Albert will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Shirley in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.
