Alberta M. Bristol

Bristol, Spooky (Alberta) M.age 87 of Elmira, NY passed away Friday December 30th, 2011 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center.She was born in Rochester, NY July 17th, 1924, the son of the late Ward and Grace (Mantle) Huntsinger. She was predeceased by her only sister Glenna Lepley four years ago. Surviving her is her sons: Lanier Bristol of Millerton, PA, Albert “Gary” Bristol of OR, Harlon Bristol of Redfield, NY; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews with numerous special friends including Lillian Koski, and Carolyn Wright. Spooky at one time lived and operated the Redfield Hotel in Redfield, NY.After several years she moved to Elmira where she cooked at many area restaurants, including for the many residents of Bethany. She was an avid bowler for her whole life, she loved crafting and very active in her community. Family and friends are invited to call Saturday, January 7th, 2012 from 1:00PM to 4:00PM at the Olthof Funeral Home Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY, Funeral and committal services will follow the calling hours at 4:00PM.Lay Pastor John Knapp will officiate. Graveside services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
