Alice M. Carpenter

Was born November 2, 1919 in Norwood, Ohio the daughter of the late Archie and Stella (Hemple) Sauer passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2011 in Jamesburg, NJ. Her loving husband, Charles M. Carpenter predeceased her in 1965. Her sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Arthur L. Morgan Jr. also preceded her in death. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Margaret Beckham Carpenter of Phoenix, AZ; Amy (Drew) Bender of Ballengee, W. VA; Jeannette (Dale) Mutza of East Windsor, NJ, with whom she resided and who also gave her the utmost love and care. Her 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandson andseveral nieces and nephews also survive her. Alice was a Veteran in the US Army proudly serving her country from 1943 to 1945, and later re-enlisted in the Army from 19471950. She retired from the Tioga General Hospital as switchboard operator after several years of dedicate service. Services will be held at a later date at a time convenient to her family. She will be laid to rest in the Woodlawn National Cemetery with her beloved Charles. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
