Alice P. Miller

Age 99, formerly of 1059 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira passed away August 9, 2003 at Searles Personal Care Home, Duryea, PA.Born December 14, 1903 in Mansfield, PA, Alice graduated from Mansfield High School and the former Meeker Business School.She retired in 1973 from Rosenbaum?s after 30 years of dedicated service.Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh L. Miller; brother and sister-in-law, H. Stanley and Florence Pierce; and grandnephew, Frank Pierce.Her nephew, Hugh I. Pierce of Duryea, PA and 3 grandnieces, Linda, Suzanne and Patricia, survive her.It was Alice?s wish that there be no calling hours.Memorial services will be Friday, August 15, 2003 at 2:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY. Rev. Cathy Stevenson will officiate.Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery will be at convenience of the family.In lieu of flowers, donations maybe made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1009 Maple Avenue, Elmira, NY 14904.A ?Candle of Remembrance? may be left for the family at www.olthof.com.
