Allan G. Cummings

March 7, 1942 — July 8, 2007

Age 65 went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the Corning Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Allan was born in Blossburg, PA, the son of the late William and Elsie Cummings. Allan is survived by his wife of 15 years, Beatrice; children, Mark Cummings of FL, Debra (Dan) Button of FL, Todd (Karyn) Cummings of Addison, NY; stepchildren, Rick (Norma) Cleveland of Woodhull and Terry (Pam) Cleveland of Bath; granddaughter, Cassidy Cummings; step-granddaughters, Cheyenne, Emily and Victoria Cleveland; brothers, Bruce (Paula) Cummings of Yoe, PA and Steve (June) Cummings of Wellsboro, PA; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Cummings was a Vietnam Veteran faithfully serving in the US Air Force from 1961 to 1968 and an avid hunter and fisherman. He retired as a heavy equipment operator from Dalrymple.Beside his parents, Allan was predeceased by a sister, Sharon.At the familys request there will be no calling hours. A memorial service officiated by Pastor Jay LaScolea will be held at Victory Highway Wesleyan Church, Painted Post on Saturday, July 14, 2007 at 11:00 am.In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Falck Cancer Center, care of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Ave., Elmira, NY 14905.Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home Inc., Elmira.A Candle of Remembrance may be left for the family in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
