Alma Rose White

Of Shade Gap, PAWas born May, 7, 1919 in Wampum, PA the daughter of the late James and Philemena (Bracca) Ferrantee, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira. Her 2 brothers, Frank and Tony, 4 sisters, Lena, Mary Angie and Rose preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Reverend Belvy White; beloved children, daughter, Esther White of Pleasant Hall, PA; son, Paul J. White of Neelyton, PA; grandchildren, Nicole J. (Jamie) Dillon, Sierra L. White and Jasmine O. White; great grandson, Joshua D. Dillon; along with step grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Alma was actively involved in the ministry with her husband her entire life. She was a faithful Sunday School Teacher for 70+ years and ran several Vacation Bible Schools very successfully with many great results. Family and friends are invited to call at the Fair Ridge Assembly of God Church on Piper Lane Shade Gap, PA on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and there on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will be held there following the visitation. (1 PM) Reverend David Hamilton and Reverend Marlin Neil will celebrate Alma's service. Interment will follow in the Fair Ridge Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to the Elmira Christian Center or the Gideon's. Envelopes will be available at the church.
