Andrew F. Meisner, age 83, of 283 Robert Street, Elmira died Wednesday, December 1, 2004 at Chemung County Nursing Facility, Elmira.Mr. Meisner was born March 23, 1921 at Susquehanna, PA the son of the late Daniel F. and the late Bessie (Kelley) Meisner.He married Virginia Comfort 2/17/1946 at Elmira, NY.He served in the Army from 1942 to 1945 during World War II .Andy was a US Army veteran, serving his country during World War II.He received the European-African-Middle Eastern Ribbon with 4 Bronze Clusters for serving in Normany, Northern France, the Rhineland, and Central Europe, and was a Prisoner of War in a German prison camp.He retired from United Cerebral Palsy as their bus driver, and was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church.Memorial donations in Andy´s name may be made to St. Joseph´s Hospital Foundation, 555 E.
