Ann M. (Lewis) ThomasAge 68 of Elmira Heights, NY passed away Sunday, August 2 at her daughter's home, surrounded by family, after an extended illness. Born in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Marie B. and Delbert E. Lewis. Predeceased by her brother, Harry Burt and sister, Geraldine Terrel. Survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janean (Todd) Coolbaugh of Elmira Heights, NY; sisters, Patricia (Richard) Gillette of Oxford, PA, Barbara Kirch of Sayre, PA, Judy (Claude) Kirch of Dexter, NY, Pauline Vargason of Tampa, FL, Delberta Arnold of Odessa, FL, and Glenora (Gerald) Harkcom of Albequerque, NM; a brother, Ronald (Doris) Lewis from Big Pond, PA; special lifelong friends, Daniel (Marlene) Bryan of Baltimore, MD and Pat Hovis of Elmira, NY; grandchildren, Ryan and Joshua Friebis and Kyle Coolbaugh; along with several nieces and nephews. Ann retired from Anchor Glass after 42 years of service. She loved her family and held her grandchildren, Ryan, Joshua and Kyle close to her heart, living to see them everyday. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxillary in Elmira Heights, NY.She loved camping, dancing, casino trips and spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to gather at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Penna Ave., Elmira, NY on Saturday, August 8th from 2:00 to 3:00 PM. A memorial service for Ann will take place at the conclusion of the calling hours at 3:00 PM. Reverend Elwyn Patrick will officiate.
