87 years old, passed away Friday, August 8th at Bethany Manor. Tony was born July 13, 1927 in Elmira, NY the son of Pasquale and Flora. He was a graduate of Southside High School and attended Sampson College and the Jean Summers Business School. Tony served in the Navy aboard the USS Iowa during WW II. He then married Delores June Probst in 1949 and they would celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on August 20th of this year. Tony worked as a machine designer and mechanical engineer employed for many years at Thatcher Glass. Prior to his retirement, he very proudly incorporated his own business, "T Square Design", and was a consultant for Corning Inc. In his younger years he was an avid bowler and enjoyed baseball, especially coaching Cinderella softball. Tony was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale and Flora, son, T. J. Talley and grandson, Joel Talley. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Delores; son, Gary (Vilma) Talley; daughters, Christine (John) Aikman and Toni Lee (Tony) Difasi; sisters, Mary (Bob) Wheeler, Flora and Josephine; grandchildren, Alissa Vera, Johnny Aikman, Ricky, Jeff and Eric Tenny and Joshua Talley; 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. It was always Tony's wishes that everyone be forever mindful of the "Golden Rule"...Do unto others...Tony was a very devoted son, husband, father, brother and grandfather, and he will be sadly missed by all who loved him. The family extends a special Thank You to the very caring staff at Bethany Manor who so kindly cared for him during his declining years, especially, Tina, Valerie and Randy.
