Archie L Payne

PAYNE, Archie Lawrence Dedicated VeteranWas born September 9, 1933 in Wellsville, NY the son of the late Lawrence and Alberta (McCarthy) Payne passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at the Bath VA Medical Center at the age of 74. His stepfather, Edward Blanchard predeceased him. He is survived by his loving daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Kailash of Pennsylvania; special friend and caregiver, Doris Monroe of Elmira; along with several other relatives and many friends. Archie was a Veteran of the US Army and proudly served his country from 1954 to 1956. He retired from the Labors Union # 1358 after several years of dedicated service. A service will be held at Woodlawn National Cemetery where the Chemung County Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Payne military honors at the familys convenience.
