Archie Salbego

SALBEGO, ArchieOf Elmira, NYWas born July 27, 1924 in Islin, PA the son of the late Marco and Angela Salbego passed away on Friday, February 22, 2008 unexpectedly at his home. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Gloria (Shearer) Salbego; son, Gary (Rose Marie) Salbego of Watkins Glen, NY; daughters, Gale (Lynn) Housknecht of Mebane, NY; Dale Rukin (Rick French) of Keuka Park, NY; along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Archie was a proud Veteran serving his country during WW II. He was a Master Plumber belonging to the Local # 267 Union. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Salbego will be remembered as a very giving man and our best friend who will be greatly missed. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
