Audrey M. Comstock

Of Elmira, NY passed away on Saturday March 15, 2008 at Elcor Health Service. Audrey was born on April 30, 1923 in East Point, PA to the late Miles and Bertha Evelyn Bastian. She married the love of her life Harry E. Comstock on October 4, 1943, they spent 63 years together, Harry passed away on May 20, 2007. Audrey is survived by her children; Robert (Nancy) Comstock of Horseheads, NY, Gary (Diane) Comstock of Gillett, PA, and Alan (Mary) Comstock of Elmira, NY, grandchildren, Robert (Tammy) Comstock of Horseheads, NY, Colleen (Jim) Pollen of Horseheads, NY, Christopher Comstock of Gillett, PA, Jason Comstock & Fianc Kristi Case of Gillett, PA, Jenifer Comstock of Syracuse, NY and Spc. Bryan (Corine) Comstock of Clarksville, TN, great grandchildren, Kyle and Darren Pollen of Horseheads, NY, Tyler Comstock of Gillett, PA, Tia and Brandon Comstock of Horseheads, NY, sister, Dortha A. (John) Stoppa of Williamsport, PA, Special friend Mrs. Betty Harter, several nieces and nephews. Her father Miles in 1948, Mother B. Evelyn in 1983 and sister, Erma M. Persun in 1984, also predecease her.In her younger days Audrey was a machine operator at the Eclipse, a Waitress for a total of 15 years at the Chuckwagon, Abe West and George s Sandwich Shop and she work 5 years at World In Color until her retirement in 1981. It was Audreys request that there be no calling hours and Funeral Service be held privately at the convenience of the family. Those wishing may make memorials to the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, 945 County Route 64, Elmira, NY 14903 in Audreys memory.
