Aurora A. Minter

Aurora A. Minter, 91, formerly of Elmira, NY passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY while residing at Iroquois Nursing Home. She was predeceased by her parents, Phillip A. and Theresa Rossi; sister, Gaetana Hulslander; brother, Phillip A. Rossi, Jr.; former husbands, Richard F. Pronti and Charles R. Minter. She is survived by her loving children, Michael (Carole) Pronti, Thomas (Brenda) Pronti and Pamela (James) Wilson Kraus; sister, Doreen Tronerud; grandchildren, Scott, Jim and Greg Pronti, Theresa (Masse) Goad, Kevin Masse and Nicholas Wilson; great-grandchildren, Rachel, Megan, Eva Zoe and Maia Pronti and Isabella Goad; along with several nieces and nephews. Aurora was a dedicated mother to her children. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She also loved shopping for antiques. She was a long time employee of both Moretti's and Pierce's restaurants. The family would like to thank the staff at Iroquois Nursing Home and the staff on 2-8 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse for the passionate care Aurora received.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Iroquois Nursing Home, c/o Resident Services, 4600 Southwood Heights Drive, Jamesville, NY 13078. Calling hours will be at St. Mary’s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM with mass following at 12:00 PM.
