Austin W. Thomas

Age 73 of Breesport, NY passed away on November 16, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mary Ellen Thomas; sons, Edward Thomas of Washington,and Marty (Stephanie)Thomas of Pennsylvania; daughters, Lynn (Jeff) Jaakola of North Dakota, and Nancy (Greg) Schenter of Washington; Grandchildren, Samuel L Beavers (Chassidy Boman) Ellen Beavers, Sarah Schenter, Melissa Schenter; great granddaughter, Gabrielle Beavers, also many loving friends.Austin was a Fire Warden in the State Of New York, and a volunteer fireman with the Breesport Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid model train collector and enthusiast, and retired from the Chemung County Department of Parks and Recreation with over 25 years of service.The family will receive friends on Tuesday November 23, 2010 from 4:00 t0 7:00 PM at their home, 309 Church St., Breesport, NY.
