Barbara Baer

BAER, BarbaraOf Horseheads, NYWas born March 26, 1920 in Torrington, CT the daughter of the late Abbott and Emma (Case) Putnam, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2007 at Bethany Manor where she received the utmost love and care. Her loving husband, George C. Baer and beloved son, David Towner predeceased her. Barbara is survived by her daughters, Connie Mann, Anne Sutton and Roberta Towner; nieces, Linnell Jones and Marcie Baer; grandchildren, Terri Whedon, Randy Hollander, Tim Hollander, William Smith, and Katherine Smith; great nephew, Chris Jones; great niece Tia Jones Johnson; great grandchildren, Zachary Hollander, Sam Hollander and Emma Hollander; great great nieces, Maile Johnson and Ellie Johnson. She was a 1938 graduate of the Haverling High School in Bath, NY, where she has had many friends. At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Friends of the Horseheads Animal Shelter 150 Wygant Road Horseheads, NY 14845 or contact the shelter directly at 607-739-3945.
