Barbara A. Leister

Was born November 9, 1939 in Elmira, NY passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2007 at the Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY at the age of 67. Her parents, John Turk and Mary Ostrander and brother, Ronald Brixius predeceased her. On November 10, 1957 here in Elmira, Barbara was married to Kenneth J. Leister, prior to her unexpected passing they would be celebrating their 50th anniversary in a few weeks. She is also survived by her beloved children, Deborah Pequignot of Blossburg, PA; Kenneth M. Leister of Wellsburg, NY; Karen (Robert) Rogers of Sayre, PA; brothers, Turk Ostrander, Terry Ostrander, Charles Ostrander and Andrew Ostrander; sisters, Mary Margaret Bennett, Jeannie Pearson, Susan Cerrella, Luann Hayes; along with 8 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Barbara owned and operated Barbs Produce on 1848 Pennsylvania Ave. Pine City, NY for over 30 years. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will be celebrated on Saturday, October 27th at 10:00 AM. The Reverend Laurie Greenlaw will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jobs Corners, Jobs Corners, PA.
