Barbara K. Madden

Age 48 of Elmira Heights, NY, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 13th, 2010 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Barbara was born in Elmira, November the 4th in 1961. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Shirley (Crowningshield) Ricks. Surviving is her husband of 11 years Larry Madden and her loving daughter; Breanne Gugino of Buffalo, NY; brother; William (Sandra) Ricks of Wellsburg, NY, sister; Patricia (Martin) Makowiec of Elmira, Timothy (Renee) Ricks of Elmira; sister in law; Kathy (Jeff) Williams of Ohio, Karen (Mark) Hagan of Elmira, Robert (Elsa) Madden of Horseheads, NY; father in law; Larry Madden Sr. (Poppy) of Horseheads, NY along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and her dog "SULLY". She was also predeceased by her sister Debra.Barbara cherished her many friends she made around the world through the internet. She was a devoted employee for Chemung Canal Trust Co. for 24 years. She loved children of all ages and animals of any kind. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister and daughter in law. Barb loved the beach but had no interest with the water. She loved the comfort of her own home and flowers. She attended many NASCAR races with her husband Larry. Funeral services for Barbara will remain private and held at the convenience of the family.
