Barbara H. Wheeler

Passed away on Friday, April 20, 2007, at the age of 85. Barbara was born in Canton, PA and moved to Elmira in 1951. Barbara was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Fred and her sonFrederick (Angela) Wheeler III of Burkburnett, TX; Barbara is survived by her other children: John (Kathleen) Wheeler of Greece, NY; James (Sharon) Wheeler of Elmira, NY; Joette (Phil) Devon of Avon Park, FL; William (Colleen) Wheeler of Elmira, NY; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many devoted friends,neighbors and fellow members of Southside Baptist Church that were very close to Barbara. Barbara was a former long-time employee of Elmira Discount. Family and friends may call Monday, April 23, 2007from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY. A remembrance service will be held there on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at 11:00 AM with intermentimmediately following in Fitzsimmons Cemetery in Southport, NY. The Reverend David Daniels will officiate.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Barbaras name to the Southside Baptist Church, 601 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY 14904.
