Barry G. Beard

Age 63, of Elmira, NY passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was a retired truck driver from Wenzel Contracting. He enjoyed camping, going to the Casino's and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane; sons, Harold "Mike" (Lori) Beard; Timothy Beard (fiancée, Nancy); and his grandson, Tristan. He was blessed with 1 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren with whom he loved spending time with; along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Genevieve (Ribble)Beard and in-laws, Harold and Anna Gilliland, brothers, Daniel Beard and Frederick Beard, son, Barry BeardJr. and his daughter, Diane Smith. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 11:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring his life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Reverend Mark Erway will officiate.
