Of Elmira, NY passed away at the age of 81 on March 14, 2008. Beatrice was born March 7, 1927 to W. Edward & Wilma Housel. She was the wife of Jack Barron. They were married for 53 years at the time of his death in 2000. Surviving Beatrice are her sons and daughters in law; Tim ( Marianne ) Barron of Elmira, NY with children Matthew and Aimee; Jeff ( Jean) Barron of Pine City, NY with children Jason and Joseph. Daughters and sons in law; Terri ( Tom) Henrich of Clay, NY with children Justin, Jonathan, and April; Bonnie ( Terry) Youngs of Pine City, NY with children Kelli ( Steve) Nelson, Kyle, Keith and Kevin Youngs; Becky ( Tom) Ogden of Horseheads, NY with daughter Shiana; Jackie ( Bob) Felix of Elmira, NY with children Kristen, Sierra and Taylor; Jamie Barron ( Dan Yager) of Elmira, NY with her children Natalie, Sajha and Scylar. Beatrice has ten great grandchildren: Camren and AidenTomeny, Laiken Nelson, Bianca Youngs , Maliah and Jace Ogden, Logan Martin, Adrienna Dunn and Jionel Howard. She is also survivedby brother in law and sister in law Donald and Caroline Barron. Sisters in law Helen Whittaker, Letha Haney and Roberta Rhode. Several nieces and nephews and their families. Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, parents, sister Evelyn Wheeler, grandson Christopher Barron and granddaughter Nichole Barron. Beatrices greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family and taking care of her pets. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post # 154 and The Eastern Star. Family and friends are invited to call on the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave.,Elmira, NY on Monday, March 17, from 4 to 7PM with a funeral service officiated byReverend Joseph Kim to follow at 7 PM. Mrs. Barron will be laid to rest on Tuesday at 11 AM at Woodlawn National Cemetery.
