Bernice A. Secunda

Was born December 9, 1916 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Bert and Lottie (Updyke) Benson, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 23, 2006 at the age of 89. Her siblings, Delbert Benson, Sarah Layton, Earl Benson, Jean Vockroth, Beatrice Griffis and Louise Wich predeceased her. Bernice is survived by her loving family; daughter and son in-law, Judy and Bill Quinn of Laguna Niguel, CA; granddaughter, Sherry Quinn of San Diego, CA; grandson, William P. Quinn and his wife Stacy of Belleville, NJ; along with several nieces and nephews. Bernice worked for many years as a Bridal Consultant while managing an apartment complex. She enjoyed golf, dancing, movies and travel. Bernice was smart, fun loving, independent, and dearly loved. The family will meet relatives and friends on Thursday, November 30, 2006 at the Walnut Street entrance to the Woodlawn Cemetery {1200 Walnut Street} Elmira, NY at 11:00 AM. Bernice is coming home for Graveside Services honoring her life and celebrating her memory. Lay pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
