Bertha H. Butler, age 81, of Elmira Heights died Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center of Elmira, NY.Bertha was born July 30, 1924 in Stanley, NY. She is the daughter of the late James and the late Bertha (Mochrie) Pearson. She served in the Navy during World War II from 8/29/1944 to 7/13/1945.She was employed by Own Home as a(n) Home Maker.Bertha was a United States Navy Veteran of WW II.She loved doing crossword puzzles, crocheting, and reading, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by two daughters: Mary Butler of Elmira, NY, Rebecca Butler of Elmira Heights, NY and four sons: Scott W. And Tammy Butler of Elmira Heights, NY, Richard And Rhonda Peterson of NC, Mike And Rene Butler of Elmira, NY, Glenn Butler, Jr. of Elmira, NY;; Predeceased by her Husband, Glenn W. Butler, Sr., Daughter, Marjorie (Ann) Butler, Parents, James And Bertha Mochrie Pearson, , 6 Sisters And 1 Brother. The funeral will be held 5:00 pm on Friday, October 28 at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY with Dr. Robert Rundall officiating. A graveside servicewill be held on Saturday, December 30 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Jerusalem Hill Road, Elmira, NY.Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira on Monday, October 31 at 11:00 am. Calling hours will be Friday, October 28 from 4 to 5 pm at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY.
