Bertha E. Mc Cann

Age 99 passed away peacefully at the Chemung County Nursing Facility on Wednesday, October 22, 2003.The daughter of the late Charles L. and Flora DuBois Hotchkiss, Bertha was born in Cayuta, NY on January 31, 1904.She was predeceased by her loving husband, Herbert McCann and four daughters.She is survived by her daughter, Pearl McCann of Elmira, NY; sisters, Pearl May and Jeanette Hotchkiss; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Her loving family will miss her deeply.Every time we cook a pot of stew or turn the soil to plant a seed, her loving memory will shine and keep us at ease.From large to small, if a ??lil critter? or her favorite ?a horse? should appear?think of our Bertha.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Sunday, October 26, 2003 from 1 to 3 PM and 5 to 7 PM.Funeral services will be here there on Monday, October 27, 2003 at 1 PM.Bertha will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY at the convenience of the family.Those wishing may leave a ?Candle of Remembrance? for the family at www.olthof.com.
