Bertha L. Stewart

Age, 76, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after an extended illness. Born October 10, 1935 in Richford, NY, daughter of the late Robert and Helena (Talcott) Lynch. Also preceding her in death are her husband, Alfred, sons, Charles and Jerry Allen and step-daughter. Survivors include: son, Robert Perry; daughters, Carla (Thomas) Walters and Sonja (John) Howe; along with 7 step-children, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Bertha was looking forward to the birth of her unborn great great granddaughter due to be born in June. Her 4 little people on four legs also survive her. Carla, along with the help of her daughter, Raqueal, was Bertha's caregiver for over 13 years. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Her friend, John Santulli will celebrate Bertha's services. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
