Betty E. Allen

Was born March 22, 1927 in Tioga, PA the daughter of the late Morris J. and Genevieve (Heck) Butman passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 30, 2012 at home surrounded by her loving and devoted family at the age of 85. She is survived by her beloved family: children, Lawrence Allen, Barbara Corey, Dorothy J. Allen (James Tress), William J. (Sheryl) Allen and Mori Baker: along with 16 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. Betty retired from the Remington Rand after several years of dedicated service. She was well known musician in the Elmira area for many years. She received her bachelor's degree from Mansfield University and was licensed to teach 14 instruments including the accordion. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Reverend Richard Hack will officiate Betty's service. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
