Betty May Caroline Collins

COLLINS, Betty May Carolyn (Moody)Of Elmira, NY Age 80, was born December 17, 1931 and passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sarah Cram (Davidson) and Ulysses Moody of Elmira, NY; sisters, Theresa Moody Valvo, Ellen Moody and brother Robert Moody both of Elmira, NY; first husband, Kenneth Charles Collins, second husband, James Guyette Collins and step-son, Christopher Collins. Betty is survived by her sons, Kevin (Linda) Collins, Robert (Linda) Collins, Kerry (Debbie) Collins, Charles Collins and Keith Collins; step-sons, Rick Collins, Alan (Marcia) Collins, Jay (Robin) Collins, Jamie (Pam) Collins and Patrick (Bonnie) Collins; along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her dear friend for many years, Mary Ann Farr of Elmira, NY. A special thank you goes out to the Mahalko family of Elmira, NY for everything you have done for our parents through the years. Betty worked several years for private nursing homes in the Elmira/Horseheads area doing what she loved, caring for the elderly. She also loved her cats and her home always had at least one of them. At the request of her family Betty's Funeral service and interment will take place privately In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA 2435 Route # 352 Elmira, NY 14903.
