Betty J. CookAge 92 of Pine City, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Bethany Manor, Horseheads, NY.Betty is survived by daughters;Roberta (Jack) Murray of Richmond VA., Jacquelyn (Roger) Storch of Traverse City, MI, and Deborah (Francis) Barrett of Waterloo NY; sister, Barbara Dove, of Elmira, NY and sister-in-law Betty Jacque of Endicott, NY; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by husband, Quentin S. Cook; grandson, Andrew Storch; sister, Helen Many, and brother, Ernest Jacque.Betty worked as a bookkeeper at The Bootery, in Elmira, NY , and retired as an accountant for John Cook Painting contractors, of Elmira.Betty volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was known as the “Dessert Lady” for many years.In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorials to the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church or the charity of one’s choice.Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there at 3:00 PM, Pastor Bill Vallet will officiate.
