Betty Marie Jones

Betty Marie Jones Was born December 27, 1930 in East Smithfield, PA, the daughter of the late Dealton and Florence (Vogel) Raymond passed away on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 86. Her brother, William Raymond and great grandson, Collen preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving and devoted children: Dean Kennedy of Elmira, NY; Jerry (Jane) Kennedy of Gillett, PA; Terry (Marlene) Kennedy of Millerton, PA; Sheila (Ken) Chapman of Newfield, NY; Cheryl (Mike) Kempfer of Gillett, PA; Betty Starkweather of Elmira, NY; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; sister, Annabelle (Ken) Baldassarre; brothers, Dealton (Wanda) Raymond, Richard (Pat) Raymond; along with several nieces and nephews. Betty was formerly employed by the A & P Plant as a machine operator from the day the plant opened until its closing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Elmira Wesleyan Church, 1100 South Main Street, Elmira on Sunday, January 8, 2017 beginning at 3:00 pm. Pastor Larry Burke will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the National Parkinson’s Foundation Great Rochester, PO Box 23204, Rochester, NY 14692.
