Betty Jane Moak

Betty Jane (Foehner) Moak Betty was born on May 3, 1923 in Elmira, NY, and passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on Sunday, May 29, 2016, at Elcor Health Services. She was the daughter of late Charles and Hazel (Fitch) Foehner of Elmira, NY. Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Dean Franz Moak; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Mildred (Sam) Brunson, Lois (Jim) Street; her brothers: Robert Foehner, James Foehner; her beloved daughter-in-law: Jacquie Moak; sisters-in-law: Marjorie Moak, Sally (Allen) Howell; her father- and mother-in-law: George and Sadie Moak. She is survived by her loving children: son and daughter-in-law: Ron and Diane Moak of Gaithersburg, MD and their children: Catherine (Nathan) Reich, Deana Moak; daughter: Barbara Moak of Elmira and her children: Bethany (Matthew) Ahlers, Robert (Sara) Siglin; daughter and son-in-law: Nancy and Mike Love of Annapolis, MD and their children: Kristine and Ryan Love; sisters-in-law: Gwen Foehner and Andy Foehner. Additionally, she is survived by 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Betty was an avid Bridge player and her family was everything to her. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Sunday, June 12, 2016 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Funeral Services celebrating her life will follow the visitation at 2 PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Dean at the convenience of her family.
