SARAH A. (Record) FIORITO SallyOf Elmira, NYWas born October 8, 1921 in Elmira the daughter of the late Frank and Adelaide (Brink) Record passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital at the age of 86. Sally married Leonard J. Len Fiorito on July 16, 1949 in St. Patricks Church Elmira, NY; prior to his death February 21, 2007 they celebrated 57 wonderful years of life and love together. Her brother, Richard Record; sisters, Polley Taylor and Teresa Niver also predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved sisters, Betty Stayments of Elmira, NY; Nancy Bryan of Virginia; sister-in-laws, Mary Feary of Batavia, NY; Margaret Bradley of Livonia, NY; along with several loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews. Sarah graduated from Brockport State Teachers College receiving her teaching certificate. The closing years of her life were spent at Woodbrook Assisted Living where she made many friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude and appreciation to the staff for the outstanding care given to Sarah and also to her second family for the rewarding friendship they were able to share. At her request there will be no prior calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to honor Mrs. Fioritos life on Friday, October 3, 2008 at Woodbrook 1250 Maple Ave. Elmira, NY at 1:00 PM. Deacon George Welch will celebrate her service. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn National Cemetery where Sally will be laid to rest with her beloved Len.
