Betty M. StewartAge 88 of Pine City, NY Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Wednesday April 2, 2008 at St. Josephs Hospital, Elmira, NY. Betty is the daughter of the late Hiram and Mildred (Cornell) Bowman. She is the loving mother of; Edgar (Linda) Stewart of Pine City, NY, Jim (Pat) Stewart of Lowman, NY, and Duane (Melody) Stewart, of Pine City, NY, loving sister to, Doris Becket of Poca, WA, Marcia (Harry) Green of Erin, NY, Robert (Harriet) Bowman, of Ridgebury, PA, Edwin (Violet) Bowman, of Horseshoe, NC, and Mary Ann (Robert) Weiss of Horseheads, NY, 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents her husband Earl Stewart, brothers Chancey and Arthur Bowman, predeceased Betty.She retired from Winchester Optical of Elmira, was a lifetime member of the Wellsburg United Methodist Church, and an active member of the Chapel Park Senior Citizens Group. Family and Friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Saturday April 5, 2008 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there Saturday evening at 7:00 PM. The Reverend Richard Elliott will officiate, interment will take place in Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY at the convenience of the family.
