Beverly Jane Holly

Age 79, of Pine City, NY, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2013 in the peace of the Lord at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Beverly was born on October 11, 1933 in Sayre, PA to Walter and Velma (Heverly) Campbell. Beverly married George W. Holly on October 16, 1965. She retired from P & C Foods and was a member of the District Union Local One of United Food and Commercial Workers. She enjoyed playing all types of games, including cards and working on all types of puzzles. She was a member of the Webb Mills Fire Department Auxiliary and held numerous positions in the Elmira Women of the Moose. Beverly is survived by her loving husband and companion of 53 years, George W. Holly; beloved children, LeRoy Bowman, Jane (Wayne) McNett, John (Carol) Bowman all of Elmira, NY; Dorothy (Jerry) (Hotaling) Smith of Lake Merry, FL; Diane (Hotaling) Binder of Binghamton, NY; Susan (Scott) Bowman-Birchfield of Colfax, ND; Roger (Karen) Holly of Pine City, NY; along with 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-laws, Joe (Linda) Holly and Ann (Holly) McGonigal of Pine City, NY; uncle, Russell (Elaine) Heverly of St. Cloud, FL; aunt, Nancy (Albert) Benjamin of Binghamton, NY; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Walter E. Campbell and her mother, Velma G. (Heverly) Campbell; brother, George C. Campbell; sister, Shirley A. (Campbell) Ferris; granddaughter, Crystal Battle; niece, Lori McGonigal; and numerous aunts and uncles. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 4 PM. Reverend Chip Possee will celebrate Beverly's service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or the Webb Mills Fire Department Auxiliary. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
