Binney Chapin

Age 92, formerly of 611 Yale Street, Southport, NY, passed away February 1st, 2005 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. She was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Annetta Hirt Binney. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 57 years, George Chapin of Southport, NY; son, Gary (Melody) Chapin of Bentley Creek, PA; daughter, Katherine Chapin and special friend Darcy Gray of Pine City, NY; grandchildren, William (Kimberley) Chapin, Teresa Drucker, Patricia (Jeff) Price; great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Sarah Drucker, Darin Chapin, Hunter Price; sister, Mary (Jack) Fenton of Hornell, NY; and brother, Robert and Faye Binney of Slidell, LA. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including Madge and Arthur Grace and George Lynn Hardy. Genevieve was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Annetta Binney, great grandson, Dylan Chapin, sisters, Evelyn, Ruth, and Mildred; and brothers, Charles and William. Genevieve was a machine operator for the Eclipse Corp., where she met her life-long mate and best friend, George. She enjoyed being a loving homemaker for her family. Providing a warm and safe home for her family to come home to was most rewarding to her.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Thursday, February 3rd, 2005 from 12 PM to 2 PM. Funeral services will be there at the conclusion of the calling hours at 2 PM. Deacon George Welch will officiate.
