Bradley L. BrewerWas born May 15, 1920 in Gillett, PA the son of the late Fred H. and Blanche (Updike) Brewer, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at the age of 94. He was met there by his loving wife of 67 years, Clara (Stewart) Brewer (2/22/2012), most recently by his son, Robert "Bob" Brewer (6/19/2014),also brother, Wilfred "Bill" Brewer and his sister, Marie Seymour. He is survived by his beloved children: Carol (Michael) Prince of Marlton, NJ; David Brewer of Wellsville, NY; Donald Brewer of Millerton, PA; daughter-in-law, Donna Brewer of Tioga, PA; brother, Burdette (Sara Mae) Brewer of Lawrenceville, PA; along with several nieces and nephews. Bradley was a Veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country during WW II. He was a foreman at the Eclipse Company in Elmira Heights, where he met his beloved wife, Clara. Because of his important position with the Eclipse, Bradley's deployment was deferred until near the end of the war. From 1949 to 1979, he owned and operated his own Dairy Farm in Jackson Summit, PA. Bradley then worked for the RKB Company until his retirement. He and Claramoved to Millerton, PA where he kept his wonderful garden. He was a member of the JacksonSummit Baptist Church where he served as Trustee and Deacon. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. The Chemung Veterans Honor Squad will accord Mr. Brewer with Military Honors at 2PM. Funeral services honoring his life will follow withReverend Ben Lanning officiating Interment will take place in the Alder Run Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with Clara.
