Byron G. Bennett "Bud"Born May 27, 1917 in Mount Jewett, PA to Florence and Gardner Byron Bennett. Bud worked for Cook Upholstery of Elmira and De Joseph's Upholstery of Corning. He retired as the owner of Bennett's Upholstery. Predeceased by wife, Olive Bennett; daughter-in-law, Helen; brothers, Dutch, George and Al; and sisters, Virginia and Evelyn.Survived by his three sons, Harry (Lola) Bennett of Waneta Lake, Roger (Linda) Bennett of Pine City and David (Linda) Bennett of Elmira; sister, Marie Goodall of Glen Allen, VA and sister-in-law, Martha Bennett of Hurricane, WV. Also survived by grandchildren, William (Lynne) Bennett of Elmira, Deborah (Steven) Weston of Moyock, NC, Susan (Jerry) Shoemaker of Elmira, Michael (Barb) Bennett of Crestview, FL, Thomas (Tammy) Bennett of Elmira, Peter Bennett of Corning, Steven Bennett of Virginia Beach, Marvana Bennett of Fairfax, VA, Robert (Robin) Bennett of Waxhaw, NC, Heidi (Damian) Saks of Horseheads, and Eric Bennett of Elmira; several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.Bud enjoyed playing guitar, banjo, hiking, fishing, traveling and telling stories.
