Calvin G. Pratt

Calvin G. Pratt, 62 of Elmira, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was born to the late Margaret M. Pratt on August 9th, 1954. In addition to his mother, Calvin was predeceased by his sister, Theresa; brother, Terry; and sister, Darlene. He is survived by his loving wife, Tina; his children, Cory, Jon and April (Scott) Roberts; as well as his grandchildren, Alexandria (19), Lauryn (19), Jordin (17), Hannah (16), Brandin (13), Sandra (11), Logan (6). Calvin made a 17-year career with NYSDOCworking at Fishkill, Elmira, and Cayuga Correctional Facilities as well as being a drill instructor at Camp Monterey. He was respected and well-liked by both his fellow officers and the inmates under his care. Friends and family are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennyslvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, August 17th from 3:00PM to 6:00PM. Funeral services will follow there at 6:00PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate.
