Carmen L. Rutzke

Rutzke, Carmen Lee age 83 of Millerton, Pa. On Sunday, November 8th, 2015 the world lost a wonderful man, father, husband, and grandfather. He was born in Elmira, November 28th, 1931; the son of the late Charles and Anna (Mayshak) Rutzke. His infant son, John Rutzke, along with his brothers and sisters, all predecease him. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Helen (White) Rutzke; and daughters: Debbie (Claude) Cavanaugh, Sue (John) Reese, Melissa Sempler, all of Millerton, and Pam (Jeff) Koski of Van Etten, NY; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.He retired after 41 years of employment with MacMillen Bloedel Inc. of Elmira Heights. He was an avid hunter and fishermen. He liked working on cars, models, puzzles, country ATV rides with his grandkids, camping on Seneca Lake and was always ready to help his daughters and others.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Friday, November 13th, 2015 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral services celebrating Carmen Lee Rutzke’s life will follow at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7:00PM. Graveside services will be held Saturday, November 14that 10:00AM at the Alder Run Cemetery, Millerton, PA. The Revered Laurie Greenlaw will officiate.
