CATHERINE E. GREENOf Elmira, NY Age 81, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009 at home surrounded by the love of her life, husband Harold and family. Catherine was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary Margaret (Arter) Reed. She was born in Sunbury, PA June 27, 1927. She is survived by her loving husband, Harold "Greenie" Green of Elmira, NY; daughter, Patricia FitzGerald (Greg Dobrich) of Massachusetts; son, John (Nancy) FitzGerald of Midlothian, VA; step-children, Sue (John) Noto of Elmira, NY; Sheila (Geoff) Colegrove of Horseheads, NY; Vicki (Gary) Bailey of Elmira, NY; Terry (Angela) Balcolm of Cliffton Springs, NY; sister-in-law and nephew, Ethel Reich and James Reich of Allentown, PA; along with 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Catherine was the Executive Secretary for Lyman D. Gridley Ford/Mercury Auto Dealership in Elmira for many years. She loved traveling, boating, riding motorcycles and entertaining, especially at her home in Ocala, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 7 PM. Pastor Jerry Berbary will officiate. A celebration of Catherine's life will continue at Bernie Murray's.
