Ilg, Charles P. age 91, passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at the Bath VA Hospital.He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 10, 1922, the son of the late William Joseph Stanislaus Ilg, Sr., and Louise Grace Parmalee.He is survived by his wife Marilyn; step-son Lee (Pamela) Doud of Pine City; granddaughter, Jennifer (Judd) Doud-Nissen of Los Angeles; granddaughter, Amy (Joseph) Winter ofBoston; great-grandsons, Ethan, Adam and Daniel Winter also of Boston.Charlie retired from MacMillen-Bloedel.He was a decorated Army veteran of World War II, having survived being captured at the Battle of the Bulge.Charlie enjoyed the game of golf and was an accomplished bowler, having been a former City Bowling Champion.But above all his greatest love was his family.It was his request that there be no prior calling hours and burial will be at Woodlawn National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.Guest book may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com.Arrangements have been entrusted to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.
