Age 72, of Elmira Heights, NY, died Sunday, July 11, 2010 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born March 15, 1938 in Blossburg, PA to Pauline and the late Raymond Page. His father, Raymond; stepson, Michael Patrick Monahan; stepmother, Sophie; grandparents, aunts and uncles predeceased him. He is survived by his beloved mother, Pauline Sharp; loving wife, Kathleen (Kane); son, Todd (Colette) Page; daughter, Cathleen Page (Pete Pinkerous); step-sons, Dennis (April) and Terry Monahan; grandchildren, Matthew Page and Shelby Paes; sister, Dorothy (Harold) Kendrick; brother, Howard (Joan) Page; Harold (Patsy) Page, Paul (Celeste) Page; along with many aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Charlie graduated in 1957 from Thomas A. Edison High School, served in the US Air Force and worked for the Department of Corrections for 30 years, retiring as Deputy Superintendent in 1990. Charlie also attended college and graduated from Ulster Community College. He played semi-pro football and baseball and was elected to the Elmira Heights, Thomas A. Edison Hall of Fame in 1997. He loved his family dearly and was an avid outdoorsman. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing, cars, lottery tickets and his AM Breakfast Club with the "guys". He had many friends, a wonderful sense of humor and will be deeply missed by everyone. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Funeral services celebrating his life will follow the visitation at 2 PM. His dear friend, Don Gordy will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
