Was born September 9, 1944 in Seoul, Korea passed away peacefully on Monday, July 19, 2010 peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. Her beloved companion, Eugene H. Mallacoccio Sr. predeceased her in 1993. She is survived by her loving children, Ted (Tina) Murch, Maryann (Tim) Lynch and Lena (Clint) Freeman; adored grandchildren, Tyler Lynch, Autumn and Amber Freeman; life-long and best friend, Sharon Carr along with her family; canine companion, "Kojack". She especially adored her children and spoiled her grandchildren rotten. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was well known for her homemade egg rolls. She loved visits from her family and friends but her dearest visits were those from her much loved grandkids. Chong knew many people in the community and had a smile on her face and a cheerful hello for everyone. She touched many hearts and will be dearly missed by all. At Chong's request there will be no calling hours or services. Her daughters would like to invite her family and friends to gather on Friday, July 23, 2010 at St. Mary 's Church Miriam Center 224 Franklin Street Elmira, NY from 1:00 to 3:00 PM for a luncheon to celebrate their mother's life.
