Cricket age 48 of Elmira, NY was born August 20th, 1959. Quietly passed on March 24th, 2008 after a long and courageous battle with Wegeners Disease at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Christine was predeceased by sons Michael Brian Jr. and Mathew Brad VanRensselaer, parents Harold and Lucy (Alexander) Quail, brothers Robert Joseph and Brion James Quail, and special grandmother Mary Elizabeth Alexander. Christine is survived by daughter Mary Cleveland and Kimberly (Robert) Galpin all of Elmira, NY. Christine was blessed with a grandson Timothy Cleveland and granddaughters Star, Lela and Savana Galpin. Also surviving are her brother Joseph Quail of Elmira, sisters Susan Quail of Elmira, Rosemary (Allen) Laman of Odessa, TX, Brenda (Harold) Wilkins of Elmira, and Jennifer (Brian) LaRock of Chemung, NY, step father Gerald Bowman of Elmira, special friends Polly Cleveland and Judy Sills. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.Christine followed in her grandmothers footsteps both attending and graduating the Nursing Program at Corning Community College fulfilling her lifelong dream to become a registered nurse. She worked at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY as well as working as a nurse manager at Elcor Health Services in Horseheads, NY before taking ill. Christine was an avid craftswoman who won many awards for her ceramics and needlework.A memorial service will be held at the Pennsylvania Avenue United Methodist Church, 1238 Pennsylvania Avenue, Pine City, NY on Saturday, March 29th, 2008 at 12:00PM. Graveside services will follow at 11:00AM Monday, March 31st, 2008, at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. All friends and family wishing to remember Christine and celebrate her life are welcome to attend.
