Gilbert, Cordelia E. (Wida) age 98 of Elmira, NY. Passed away Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 at the Elderwood Retirement Center in Waverly, NY. Cordelia was born the daughter of the late Charles and Lydia Kishbaugh Crop, July 5th, 1911 in Briggsville, PA.She is predeceased by her husbands whom she dearly missed James A. Gilbert and her first husband Stephen Wida.Surviving her are her loving children: Betty Gearhart of Elmira, NY; Stephen C. (Charlotte M.) Wida of Elmira, NY; Kenneth R. Wida of Elmira, NY; Lonnie (Ruth) Wida of Pine City, NY; Drew T. (Judith) Wida of Pine City, NY. Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great, great, great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Cordelia is predeceased by her daughter Zelda Grace Hontz, brother Paul Crop, and sister Zelda Hontz.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, and NY Saturday, December 26th, 2009 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Funeral and committal services will follow the gathering hours at 4:00PM. Rev. R. Kurt Traugott will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn National Cemetery, Elmira, NY next to her late husband James A. Gilbert.Cordelia loved people. She was an amazing mother and grandmother and quilting was her craft. She took great care to piece her quilts and make them just right. She worked for the Remington Rand Co. for several years and Wise Potato Chip Co. in Berwick, PA.
