WALTON, Daniel W. Loving husband, father & grandfatherWas born June 18, 1946 in Corning, NY the son of the late Donald and Ella (Tetor) Walton, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 61. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend of 41 years, Barbara (Shafer) Walton; loving daughters and son-in-laws, Lisa and Kevin Sowa of Elmira Heights, NY; Christina and Samuel Williams of Columbia, MD; Jennifer and Patrick Moffe of Elmira Heights, NY; Michelle and Christopher Cersoli of Elmira, NY; adored grandchildren, Bryan Vanderhoff, Eric Vanderhoff; Ashley Williams, Brandon Williams; Rachel Moffe, Isabella Moffe; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Peggy Walton of Maud, OK; niece, Mary (Bobby) Hill of Sparks, OK; brother-in-laws, Gordon (Judy) Shafer and Robert (Judy) Shafer of Lamoka Lake, NY. Daniel was a dedicated employee of American Bridge in Elmira Heights, NY and was a self employed Draftsman working with Upstate Detailing Inc. in Burnt Hills, NY. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to spend time on Lamoka Lake. Family and friends will gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Thursday, March 6, 2008 for a time of visitation from 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM. A Memorial Service honoring his life will follow the visitation. (7 PM) Deacon William P. Dougherty will celebrate Daniels service.
