Darlene Marie Benjamin

Age 60 of Millerton, PA, passed away very unexpectedly on Sunday, July 24, 2005 at her home.She was the daughter of Georgia and the late Lester H. Grinnell, born July 17, 1945 in Elmira, NY.Darlene is survived by her husband of 36 years, Gary Benjamin; daughters, Lesley (Michael) Heintzelman; Jeannine (Dennis) Reese; son, Matthew Benjamin, all of Millerton; grandchildren, Kayla, Paige, and Logan Heintzelman; Zachary, Carlie, and Cameron Reese; and Megan Benjamin; mother, Georgia E. Wilson of Millerton; sister, Georgina (Joseph) Garfield of Palm Bay, FL; brothers, Michael (Rosemary) Grinnell of Millerton, and Todd (Donna) Grinnell of Fredericksburg, VA; sister, Susan (Thomas) Reed of Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews.Her father, Lester H. Grinnell, predeceased her.Darlene loved traveling, fishing, and looking after her wonderful grandchildren.She was a very loving wife and mother, who would always go without so she could help someone else.Darlene was also proud to be a US Marine Corps veteran.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, July 27, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.Funeral services will be held there on Thursday at 11 AM.
