David L. Benjamin

David L. Benjamin Age 90 of Elmira, NY, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021. David was born on July 8, 1930 in Caton, NY, the son of the late Frank and Lillian Comfort Benjamin. David attended E.F.A. and joined the U.S. Navy in 1947 and was honorably discharged in 1950 and was active during peace time. He was a retired machinist from Bendix and later Purolator. David loved gardening and all sports, and was an avid reader. David is survived by his wife of 68 years, Theresa Benjamin; children Deb McKeown, Don Benjamin, Doug Benjamin, Denise Dimmick, Darin Benjamin; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna Ripley, Edna Zolbreck; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by son, David, Jr.; daughter, Darlene; sisters, Rosetta Middaugh, Audrey DeFrees and Ida Gush; brothers, Frank, Jr. and George. Friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Penna. Ave., Elmira on Monday, February 1, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Services there at 1:00 PM. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the American Heart Association or the charity of one's choice.
